Maciej Woźniak

Mr Maciej Woźniak is a graduate of the Krakow University of Economics (Master's degree in Economics) and the National School of Public Administration and Postgraduate Studies in Real Estate Valuation at the Warsaw University of Technology. He is a member of the Civil Service Corps of the Republic of Poland. In 2011, he participated in the International Visitor Leadership Program organized by the U.S. Department of State.

In 2003-2008 he worked in the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy. In the latter, he headed the Oil and Gas Department. He was responsible, among other things, for the implementation of the Act on Mandatory Stocks of Oil, Fuels and Natural Gas and for Poland's membership in the International Energy Agency in Paris. Later, he repeatedly represented Poland at meetings of the IEA’s Governing Board. He also supervised the implementation of the EU’s Second  Liberalisation Package for the gas market into the Polish legal system and the coordination of Poland’s position on the EU forum during the on the Third Liberalisation Package.

In 2008-2010, he was the main advisor to the Prime Minister for Energy Security and Secretary of the Interministerial Team for Energy Security Policy appointed by the Prime Minister. He represented Poland in the High-Level Group on Energy of the Visegrad Group and in the Baltic Energy Market Interconnection Plan of the European Commission. He also supervised the preparations for the construction of the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście. He took part in the negotiating team of the Polish-Russian intergovernmental gas supply agreement, and resigned from the position of the Prime Minister's advisor after the agreement was signed in November 2010.

In 2011-2013, he was an advisor to the Minister of the Environment and the Chief Geologist of Poland and was responsible for coordinating the reform of the geological and mining law.

He was a member of the Supervisory Boards of Operator Logistyczny Paliw Płynnych (liquid fuels logistics company), Wielkopolska Spółka Gazownictwa (one of regional gas distribution companies) and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Warsaw.

Vice President of the PGNiG SA Management Board for Commercial Affairs supervises and coordinates the Company's operations in the area of shaping regulatory policy in cooperation with public administration authorities, EU authorities and industry organisations, planning and implementation of the Company's commercial policy, in particular with regard to the sale of natural gas and electricity, including the conclusion and settlement of contracts for the supply of natural gas and electricity, standardisation and development of optimal customer service solutions, sales policy for gas, electricity and other products, stimulation of natural gas market development, natural gas import policy, including the diversification of supply, establishing and maintaining regular contacts with foreign companies, international organisations and third country governments in the field of trade relations, monitoring and analysis of foreign markets, cooperation with Gas Transmission Operator Gaz-System, Polskie LNG, Maritime Office in Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority with respect to imports of liquefied natural gas into Poland, the transport of gas as regards planning, execution and settlement of contracts for the provision of transmission and distribution of natural gas for the needs of PGNiG SA, preparation of periodical balances of gas fuels in accordance with gas sales contracts and plans, periodical settlements of gas deliveries, reporting services, including the acceptance of  information on events and crisis situations in all areas of the Company's operations, the Company's tariff policy, cooperation with the Energy Regulatory Office (URE) in drafting of proposals for tariffs and prices for PGNiG S.A. products and services and in the process of obtaining of concessions, the Company's information policy and corporate communications, the activities of the Wholesale Division, the operation of the Company's foreign representation in Brussels.

Mr Maciej Woźniak, Vice-President of the PGNiG SA Management Board for Trade, represents that he currently also holds a function in the following entity:

PGNiG Upstream Norway AS - 100% shares held by PGNiG SA – Member of the Board of Directors since 15.12.2015, designated by the General Meeting of Shareholders of PGNiG UN.

He fulfills this function without remuneration.
