PGNiG closes the acquisition of four fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf

On December 30th 2014, PGNiG Upstream International AS, a subsidiary of PGNiG SA, finalised the acquisition of interests in four fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf from Total E&P Norge AS. The parties were able to close the transaction following the fulfilment of all conditions precedent stipulated for the agreement of September 29th 2014.

PGNiG adopts a new strategy
Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. has adopted the Strategy for the PGNiG Group for 2014-2022. The PGNiG Group's objective is to remain the leader in the hydrocarbon exploration and production sector and the main supplier of natural gas which also offers heat and electricity in a deregulated gas market.

Changes in the Management Board of PGNiG SA
At a meeting held on December 29th 2014, the Supervisory Board of Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. unanimously resolved to remove Mr Jerzy Kurella from the Management Board of PGNiG S.A. and his position as Vice-President of the Management Board in charge of Trade.

PGNiG adds two new caverns to its Kosakowo gas storage facility
Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA has added two new caverns to its underground gas storage facility in Kosakowo, northern Poland, and drilled five boreholes to build further caverns.

Announcement of PGNiG SA and GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. concerning gas supplies to Poland

Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (PGNiG SA) and Operator Gazociągów Przesyłowych GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. hereby announce that in the period from November 28th to December 12th 2014 gas supplies to Poland from the countries east of Poland were on a stable level that guaranteed safe operation of the Polish gas transmission system. All end users of gas in Poland are receiving sufficient amounts of gas to cover their requirements.

PGNiG discovers tight gas deposits in western Poland
Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo has discovered a tight gas deposit in the Poznań area at the Pniewy-4 well (Wronki licence), which is one of the first discoveries of such unconventional gas accumulations in western Poland.

PGNiG and Qatargas sign memorandum of understanding for the LNG supplies contract
Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA and Qatar Liquefied Gas Company Ltd have signed a memorandum of understanding concerning the LNG supplies contract of June 29th 2009. Pursuant to the Memorandum, PGNiG i Qatargas, which have a long track record of cooperation, have changed the terms on which the Long-Term Contract will be performed in 2015.

INFORMATION OF PGNIG SA AND GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. ON GAS SUPPLY TO POLAND

PGNiG Group delivers stable financial performance driven by oil production
In the first three quarters of 2014, the PGNiG Group reported a 3% growth in net profit, to PLN 2.14bn, from PLN 2.08bn in the same period last year. The growth is a long-term effect of capital investments in upstream operations.

PGNiG commences price negotiations with Gazprom
PGNiG SA has requested OAO Gazprom and OOO Gazprom Export to renegotiate the price of gas supplied by Gazprom under the Yamal Contract of September 25th 1996. The Management Board of PGNiG SA decided to call for price renegotiation in connection with material changes observed on the European energy market in the recent years.

PGNiG acquires shares in four fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf
PGNiG Upstream International, wholly owned subsidiary of PGNiG SA, purchased from Total E&P Norge AS shares in four fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Transaction is a part of implementation of PGNiG's strategy and allows significant increase of hydrocarbon production outside Poland.

Update on natural gas deliveries from countries east of Poland
Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA reports that deliveries to PGNiG SA's customers are continuing uninterrupted despite Gazprom's failure to supply the full volumes ordered by PGNIG. There is no need to withdraw gas from underground storage facilities, which have been filled to capacity before the winter season.
