Record-high price of PGNiG shares

The price of PGNiG shares rose to another all-time high in the 10 years of the Company’s presence on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. On June 19th 2015, the closing price per one PGNiG share was PLN 6.85. The previous record was set on May 27th 2015, with a price of PLN 6.76 per share.

PGNiG begins drilling another exploratory shale gas well in Pomerania

Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA has commenced shale gas exploration work on the Wysin-2H well in the Stara Kiszewa licence area, located in the Liniewo rural district in Pomerania.

Crude from PGNiG proves good feedstock for Grupa LOTOS’s refinery

This year, Grupa LOTOS’s refinery in Gdańsk has further diversified its sources of crude oil supplies. The new crude is produced at the Lubiatów gas and oil production facility managed by PGNiG.

In the past, crude oil was brought to the refinery over the Druzhba pipeline and by sea, through Naftoport. Now the feedstock is also supplied by rail. Rail supplies are performed by LOTOS Kolej, one of the largest freight carriers in Poland.

Success of the PGNiG discount scheme

The ‘Price Deregulation’ discount scheme launched by Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo proved very popular among the Company’s strategic customers, attracting 30 customers whose aggregate orders account for 85% of the total gas volume sold in the segment.

In addition, many others are considering joining the scheme from June 1st or July 1st 2015.

Gas prices prior to arbitration proceedings in Stockholm

Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. has called OAO Gazprom and OOO Gazprom Export to arbitration proceedings before the Arbitration Court in Stockholm. The dispute relates to change of the price terms of the long-term gas supply contract of September 25th 1996.

PGNiG Group’s performance in Q1 2015
In Q1 2015, the PGNiG Group reported net profit of PLN 1.2bn, up 5% year on year, mainly due to improved efficiency and cost reductions, including lower cost of gas purchases. Such strong performance was achieved despite another mild winter, similar to that last year.

PGNiG drills 10 wells in Poland in Q1 2015

In Q1 2015, Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. drilled six exploratory and four production wells within its licence areas in the provinces of Poznań and Rzeszów.

In May 2015, Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. plans to launch a price discount scheme for its strategic customers. The 'Price Deregulation' scheme is in response to customer expectations, the actions of the Company's competitors and the changing gas market regulatory environment.

President of the Energy Regulatory Office approves amendment to PGNiG SA wholesale gas tariff

The President of the Energy Regulatory Office (URE) has approved an amendment to PGNiG SA's wholesale gas tariff, reducing the prices of gas and extending the tariff's effective term until July 31st 2015.

Dividend for 2014 of PLN 0.20 per share

On April 16th 2015, the Annual General Meeting of Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. passed resolutions to grant discharge to all members of the PGNiG Management and Supervisory Boards. The General Meeting also resolved to distribute dividend to PGNiG shareholders, in the aggregate amount of PLN 1.18bn.

Gazprom's gas supplies to Poland consistent with orders

Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (PGNiG SA) and Operator Gazociągów Przesyłowych GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. announce that on March 6th 2015 Gazprom confirmed that gas supplies to Poland from across its eastern border would be delivered in volumes requested.

In 2014, the PGNiG Group earned over PLN 2.8bn in net profit, up 47% year on year, driven by lower gas procurement costs and strong operating performance in the Distribution segment.

PGNiG applauds the Polish Handball Team

The bronze medal is ours! Having put up a fierce fight, the Polish Men’s Handball Team beat their Spanish rivals 29:28 in overtime to claim the third place in the World Handball Championship in Qatar. PGNiG to continue work in the Tomaszów Lubelski licence area

In view of the announcement by Chevron Polska Energy Resources Sp. z o.o. concerning its withdrawal from potential upstream projects in Poland, Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. (PGNiG) reports that the Majdan Sopocki well and seismic surveys provided for in the agreement executed between the companies in March 2014 have been completed.

PGNiG granted another operatorship licence in Norway

PGNiG Upstream International (“PGNiG UI”), a subsidiary of Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA, has been awarded, as the licence operator, a 40% interest in the PL 799 licence in the Norwegian See. PGNiG UI’s new licence partners are Statoil Petroleum AS, VNG Norge AS and Explora Petroleum AS, each holding a 20% interest.
