22.12.2010 Another Distinction for PGNiG's Corporate Social Responsibility Report!

For the second time the Corporate Social Responsibility Report of the PGNiG Group was appreciated and won a distinction from the jury of Poland's most prestigious competition for the best corporate social responsibility report, organised, for the fourth successive year, by the Responsible Business Forum, CSR Consulting, and PwC, under the patronage of Mr Waldemar Pawlak, Minister of Economy.

The purpose of the competition is to draw attention not only to how companies conduct their business with due regard to the interests of society and the environment, but also whether they are able to present their achievements in a clear, transparent and credible manner in their CSR reports. In evaluating the reports, the jury of the competition considers their completeness, credibility and methods of communication. Our report won particular recognition from representatives of the Ministry of Economy.

This year's competition was entered by 17 companies. The other companies whose reports received distinctions included Grupa Lotos S.A., PKN Orlen and Totalizator Sportowy. The main prize went to Danone.

Our report, presenting the accomplishments of the entire Group as part of the implementation of the Sustainable Development and Responsible Business Strategy, was prepared with the involvement of many employees of the PGNiG companies, branches and gas sales units. The report is available at www.pgnig.pl and www.odpowiedzialna-energia.pl

The PGNiG Group published the "Responsible Energy" report for the second time.
