In response to the expectations of companies involved in natural gas imports to Poland, PGNiG is introducing a ticketing service. As part of the service PGNiG will keep mandatory stocks of natural gas on behalf of the Customers according to the applicable Polish regulations.

The service delivery options offered by PGNiG provide entrepreneurs importing gas to Poland with the possibility of fulfilling their obligations according to two models of their choice:

- without the need for the entrepreneur to purchase additional volumes of natural gas for storage, or

- based on gas which becomes the property of the Customer at the beginning of the service term.

The ticketing service is offered on flexible terms as regards, among other things, the size of the mandatory stock, as well as the term of service provision.

'PGNiG is the largest player in the market which for years has held the vast majority of commercial and mandatory stocks of natural gas stored in the territory of Poland. Our capabilities, expertise and resources allow us to expand our offering with attractive solutions which respond to the needs of smaller players operating on the natural gas market. Thereby, these entrepreneurs will be able to focus on their core activity and rely on us as regards the performance of their obligation to keep gas stocks'said Maciej Woźniak, Vice-President of the PGNiG Management Board responsible for trade. 'By introducing the ticketing service not only do we support market players in the fulfilment of their obligation to keep the stock of natural gas but also strengthen energy security of Poland' he added.

The obligation to keep the mandatory stocks results from the Act of 16 February 2007 on stocks of crude oil, petroleum products and natural gas, the principles of proceeding in circumstances of a threat to the fuel security of the State and disruption on the petroleum market.
