02.10.2015 PGNiG confirms a new gas discovery in the Poznań province

By drilling the Miłosław 4K well, Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA has confirmed a new gas discovery near the town of Miłosław, county of Września, province of Poznań.

The Company successfully completed the drilling work on Miłosław 4K, a directional exploration well with a total length of 3,875m located within the Kórnik-Środa licence area. Even though tests are still pending, preliminary results have confirmed the discovery of a gas accumulation. With the tests still incomplete, the size of the deposit is however difficult to assess.

The find is consistent with the results of the Company’s previous operations in the area, which led to the discovery of the Lisewo, Komorze, Winna Góra, Środa and Kromolice fields.

Work within this licence for exploration and appraisal of crude oil and natural gas, which is a joint project by PGNiG SA (operator, 51% interest in the licence) and FX Energy Sp. z o.o. (49% interest), has been contracted to Exalo Drilling SA.
