The company was established in 2007 and through the series of successful investments and acquisitions it grew to become recognized player on NCS. ORLEN Upstream Norway was ranked in top ten largest hydrocarbon producer on the NCS in 2023.
Over the last couple of years, we have achieved significant growth in our business. In 2021 ORLEN Upstream Norway acquired and merged with INEOS E&P Norge AS, resulting in ORLEN Upstream Norway's access to considerable gas volumes for the Baltic Pipe. In 2022 ORLEN Upstream Norway merged with LOTOS Exploration and Production Norge, another upstream company of the ORLEN Group operating on the NCS. This was followed by acquisition of KUFPEC Norge, which was closed in early 2024.
In 2024 company’s name was changed to ORLEN Upstream Norway to underline its affiliation with the ORLEN Group.
Currently the company employs over 100 experienced professionals from all around the globe.
