29.01.2016 41 wells drilled by PGNiG in Poland in 2015

In 2015, Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA drilled 41 exploratory, core, appraisal and production wells within its licence areas. The new wells are located in the Provinces of Szczecin, Gdańsk, Zielona Góra, Poznań, Kraków and Rzeszów.

Ten exploratory/appraisal wells were drilled with positive results, confirming the presence of natural gas deposits with a total estimated volume of 3.7 billion cubic metres (ca. 24.2 million boe).

The Company also drilled 17 production wells, including seven to produce oil. Four of them are expected to produce 154 thousand tonnes (ca. 1.16 million boe) of crude oil annually, while the other three are awaiting final testing. The remaining wells are gas producers with an annual output of 90 million cubic metres (ca. 0.35 million boe).

In 2015, PGNiG brought 15 wells on stream, including 13 gas and two oil producers. They are expected to yield some 105 million cubic metres of natural gas (measured as high-methane gas equivalent) and 5.9 thousand tonnes of crude oil (ca. 0.72 million boe) annually.

In 2015, PGNiG documented hydrocarbon reserves amounting to 27 million boe based on discoveries made in previous years.
