31.10.2014 Announcement of PGNiG SA and GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. concerning gas supplies to Poland

Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (PGNiG SA) and Operator Gazociągów Przesyłowych GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. announce that in the period from October 17th to October 31st 2014 gas supplies to Poland from the countries east of Poland were on a stable level that guaranteed safe operation of the Polish gas transmission system. All end-users of gas in Poland receive sufficient amounts of gas to cover their requirements.

The volumes of gas received by PGNiG SA from its Russian supplier at the entry points on Poland's eastern border are below the levels ordered by the Company under the effective contract.

Given the lower temperatures prevailing this week, average daily demand for natural gas has increased to ca. 45 million cubic metres. The system is balanced with imports, domestic production, and gas drawn from the underground storage facilities. Retrieval of gas from underground facilities began as scheduled in the annual operating plan for underground storage facilities. At present, the amount of gas held in these facilities is ca. 2.7 billion cubic metres.

If the situation concerning gas supplies to Poland changes, another announcement will be released. If the situation does not change, the companies will release the next summary of gas supplies to Poland on November 14th 2014.
