05.04.2013 Statement by the PGNiG Management Board
In connection with the signing by EuRoPol Gaz of a memorandum of understanding containing an evaluation of the economic feasibility of potential construction of the Yamal II pipeline, the PGNiG Management Board would like to clarify that pursuant to the adopted corporate governance rules there was no requirement to have the signing of the document approved by the EuRoPol Gaz Supervisory Board, which includes representatives of PGNiG SA.
Furthermore, the Board would like to state that the signed document contains research and analyses only and does not provide for any binding business commitments, and certainly does not represent a final decision to construct any gas pipeline in the territory of Poland.
The PGNiG Management Board would like to stress that the Company's priority is to pursue the projects designed to increase natural gas production from own deposits and diversify gas supply sources.
