Conditions of the LNG delivery agreement have been accepted
The Management Board and Supervisory Board of PGNiG SA have accepted the liquefied natural gas LNG delivery conditions from Qatar. The conclusion of the agreement between PGNiG SA and Qatargas Operating Company Ltd. is planned by the end of the month. PGNiG S.A. will make an announcement as part of current and interim information released in accordance with the Ordinance of the Minister of Finance dated 19 February 2009.

Declaration for the sustainable development of the energy sector
The adoption of a declaration for the sustainable development of the energy sector concluded the "Sustainable development challenges in the energy sector" conference from the "Responsible energy" cycle, which was organised by Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA and PricewaterhouseCoopers and held on 17 June 2009 in Warsaw.

Contract for natural gas deliveries to Poland signed
On 1 June 2009, PGNiG SA and OOO Gazprom Export signed a contract for natural gas deliveries to Poland. The contract will last until 30 September 2009 and involves the delivery of 1,024 bcm of natural gas. This means that PGNiG SA will be able to fill its underground gas storage facilities in anticipation for the fall/winter season, which would otherwise be impossible due to RosUkrEnergo's failure to perform under a contract.

PGNiG and Tauron to build natural gas power unit
Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA and Tauron Polska Energia SA will continue their cooperation in the joint construction and operation of a natural gas power unit at the Stalowa Wola Power Plant (Elektrownia Stalowa Wola) owned by Tauron Group. The planned investment is set for completion in 2013. Its estimated cost is 1.8 billion PLN.

Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA and the Egyptian Ministry of Oil signed a contract on the exploration and development of oil deposits in the Bahariya block in the Western Desert.

Financial results of PGNiG Group for Q1 2009
In Q1 2009, PGNiG Group generated PLN 6.379 bn sales revenues, i.e. PLN 1.048 bn more than in the same period of the previous year. Still, the company generated a PLN 399 m net loss.

Consortium to build a CHP plant
LOTOS Group, ENERGA Group and PGNiG, members of a new consortium, signed a contract to construct and operate a state-of-the-art gas-fired combined heat and power plant with electricity production capacity of 200MW. The estimates capital expenditures amount to approx. PLN 800m. The launch of the CHP plant is planned for fall 2013.

PGNiG expands its operations on Norwegian Continental Shelf
PGNiG Norway, a subsidiary of Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA is to acquire a 35 percent participating interest in PL521 exploration and production license on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

New investment project in Polish energy sector
Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA, Zakłady Azotowe w Tarnowie-Mościcach SA, Polimex-Mostostal SA, Tauron Polska Energia SA signed a letter of intent to jointly construct a new 200MW gas-fired combined heat and power plant and to modernise the existing 65MW CHP plant in Azoty Tarnów.

Comment on decision to suspend Skanled project
Despite the PGNiG SA's efforts to continue the Skanled project, on 29 April 2009 the consortium members decided suspend the project. The reasons include the changed macroeconomic situation and the lack of possibility to secure deliveries of products to be transported by the gas pipeline.

Information on Natural Gas Supplies to Poland
Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. and Operator Gazociągów Przesyłowych GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. wish to inform that, since March 1st 2009, the offtake of natural gas supplied by Gazprom Export via the Drozdovitse point has been equal to the volumes agreed under the so-called Yamal Contract.

On 3 April 2009, a ceremony took place inaugurating the transfer of PGNiGS.A. share agreements to eligible employees. Financial Performance of the PGNiG Group for Q4 2008
In 2008, the PGNiG Group recorded a net profit of PLN 929m, a performance virtually unchanged compared with the previous year. However, in the fourth quarter of 2008 alone, the PGNiG Group posted a net loss of PLN 310m.
