11.02.2010 Agreement on gas accepted by the Management Board and Supervisory Board of PGNiG SA

On 10 February 2010, the Management Board and then the Supervisory Board of PGNiG SA accepted a package of arrangements made in the form of a trilateral agreement between PGNiG SA, OAO Gazprom Export and EuRoPol GAZ.  

The agreement was concluded on 27 January 2010 in Moscow. It provides for extending the contract for delivery of natural gas from the Russian Federation to Poland until 2037, as well as the possibility of increasing the volume of gas supplies to Poland under the binding contract, up to 10.2 billion cubic metres annually, with 15 per cent flexibility, starting from 2010.  In accordance with the agreement, the contract for gas transmission across the territory of the Republic of Poland through the Jamal pipeline to Western European countries will be extended from 2019 to 2045 under existing conditions.
