18.02.2008 Changes in the Composition of PGNiG’s Supervisory Board

The Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting of PGNiG held on February 15th 2008 removed the following persons from the PGNiG's Supervisory Board:

  • Mr Piotr Szwarc
  • Mr Jaros?aw Wojtowicz
  • Mr Andrzej Ro?ciszewski
  • Mr Wojciech Arkuszewski

The Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting of PGNiG held on February 15th 2008 appointed the following persons to the Supervisory Board:

  • Mr Stanis?aw Rychlicki
  • Mr Grzegorz Banaszek

Mr Stanis?aw Rychlicki graduated from the Faculty of Geology and Exploration of AGH University of Science and Technology of Kraków, Poland, in 1968. He has been following his carrier path with the Faculty of Drilling, Oil and Gas, from a trainee assistant reader to full professor. Currently he serves there as the Head of the Chair of Oil Engineering and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Drilling, Oil and Gas. In 1980-1986, Mr Rychlicki worked as a professor at the University of Science and Technology in Algiers, Algeria.

Mr Rychlicki has authored or co-authored ten books, monographs and course books, over 320 papers in domestic and foreign journals, and over 230 studies for oil and gas mining industry.

In the course of his professional and community-oriented activities, Mr Rychlicki has been cooperating actively with the oil industry (oil and gas mining, gas industry and refining industry) and energy industry (natural gas, crude oil, coal and geothermal energy). He has prepared a number of studies and opinions concerning Poland's energy model, with a special focus on natural gas and coal.

He has been cooperating intensively with international organisations, including in particular the International Gas Union and the World Petroleum Council. He has prepared and participated actively in the World Petroleum Congresses in Milan (1994), Stavanger (1994), Beijing (1997), Copenhagen (1997), Nice (2000), Calgary (2000), Rio de Janeiro (2002), Johannesburg (2005) and Amsterdam (2006).

Mr Grzegorz Banaszek is a graduate of the Faculty of Organisation and Management of the University of Warsaw, as well as of the Warsaw School of Economics.

He has been employed at Totalizator Sportowy Sp. z o.o. since May 2006; currently he serves there as the Organisation and Management Adviser to the President of the Management Board.

From the very beginning, his professional career has been tied to the capital market. He cooperated with numerous financial institutions.

Mr Banaszek is an experienced member of supervisory bodies at various companies (Rabobank Polska S.A., IX NFI im. E. Kwiatkowskiego S.A., Koksownia Przyja?? Sp. z o.o., ZPP w Krapkowicach S.A., PKL Sp. z o.o. of Zakopane and Agencja Rozwoju Przemys?u S.A.). He has participated in numerous training programmes.

The newly appointed members of the Supervisory Board do not conduct any activity which would be competitive with respect to PGNiG's business, nor are they partners in any partnership, or members of any governing body of a corporation whose activities would be competitive with respect to PGNiG's business. The newly appointed members have not been entered into the Register of Insolvent Debtors maintained under the Act on the National Court Register.
