Information about abduction of employees of Pakistani contractor of Geofizyka Kraków SA.
On Saturday, 26.11.2016, at noon local time in the area of Drazinda (northern Pakistan) a group of 25-30 unidentified attackers stopped a convoy of cars belonging to a Pakistani contractor of Geofizyka Kraków (subsidiary of PGNiG Polish Oil and Gas Company). The workers were returning from field works where they had been carrying out seismic research. As a result of a holdup six employees have been kidnapped. There were no Polish citizens among the group that had been carrying out the research works in the field as well as among the six abducted employees.
Pakistani police as well as military have been immediately notified. Representatives of Geofizyka Kraków on site are fully cooperating with Pakistani authorities.
Geofizyka Kraków has been carrying out geophysical research associated with natural gas and crude oil exploration for Pakistani oil company Al-Haj Enterprises Ltd.
