Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA announces that on February 1st 2016, the Company filed a claim against OAO Gazprom and OOO Gazprom Export in arbitration proceedings pending before the Arbitration Court in Stockholm. The claim is part of the arbitration procedure initiated by PGNiG on May 13th 2015 to change the price terms of the long-term gas supply contract of September 25th 1996.
On January 29th 2015, the Stalowa Wola CHP plant (Elektrociepłownia Stalowa Wola, a special purpose vehicle of TAURON Wytwarzanie and PGNiG Termika) terminated its contract with Abener Energia, the general contractor for the 450 MW CCGT unit construction project.
In 2015, Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA drilled 41 exploratory, core, appraisal and production wells within its licence areas. The new wells are located in the Provinces of Szczecin, Gdańsk, Zielona Góra, Poznań, Kraków and Rzeszów.
On January 26th 2016, the Extraordinary General Meeting of PGNiG TERMIKA S.A. of Warsaw passed resolutions on changes in the Company’s Management Board. The following Members of the Management Board of PGNiG TERMIKA S.A. were removed from office: Mr Marek Dec – President of the Management Board, Mr Jacek Chodkowski – Member of the Management Board. The following persons were appointed in their place to the Company’s Management Board as of January 27th 2016: Mr Wojciech Dąbrowski – as President of the Management Board, Mr Tomasz Wilczak – as Vice-President of the Management Board, Technology, Mr Michał Machlejd – as Vice-President of the Management Board, Chief Financial Officer.
On January 26th 2016, the Extraordinary General Meeting of Exalo Drilling S.A. of Piła passed resolutions on changes in the Company’s Management Board. The following persons were appointed to the Board: Ms Longina Ruszczyk-Czajor – as a Member of the Management Board and Mr Piotr Gliniak – as a Member of the Management Board.
In the APA 2015 licensing round, PGNiG Upstream International (PGNiG UI), a subsidiary of Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA, was awarded interests in four exploration and production licences, including one operatorship. Two of the licences (PL838 and PL839) are located in the Norwegian Sea, one in the North Sea (PL813), and one in the Barents Sea (PL850).
